Studying history helps us understand and grapple with complex questions and dilemmas by examining how the past has shaped (and continues to shape) global, national, and local relationships between societies and people.
Studying history enables us to develop better understanding of the world in which we live. Building knowledge and understanding of historical events and trends, especially over the past century, enables us to develop a much greater appreciation for current events today.
C.R.E
It equips the learner with appropriate skills, attitudes and knowledge which are important for economic development. Such virtues include handwork, diligence, honesty, tolerance, and respect among others. C.R.E. contributes to the national goals of education e.g. patriotism, nationalism.
Geography
Geography helps us understand basic physical systems that affect everyday life: How water cycles and ocean currents work are all explained with Geography. These are important systems to monitor and predict in order to help lessen the impact of disasters.
